Registration for Summer 2017 is now open!

The summer session runs from July 4 to August 4, 2017. Register now as courses fill up quickly.

If you have an account:

  • Please visit etfo-aq.ca and click on REGISTER. Click on EXISTING USERS CLICK HERE. Enter your username and password then CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

If you do not have an account:

  • Please visit etfo-aq.ca and click on REGISTER. Click on NEW USERS CLICK HERE, I DO NOT HAVE A USERNAME AND PASSWORD, click SUBMIT. Click on COURSE REGISTRATION then REGISTER and you will then be asked to enter your information, then click SUBMIT. You need to log in and change password.

The Additional Qualification Course: Environmental Education, Part 1 employs a critical lens to explore in a holistic an integrated manner theoretical foundations of ecological literacy, the earth’s grand systems and the reciprocal relationships between the earth’s grade systems and human systems. Program planning, implementation, instructional strategies, assessment, the learning environment and ethical considerations are also areas of focus within this course.

  • Experiential and inquiry based learning, safety and risk taking in outdoor spaces in and around your schoolyard
  • Interconnections and integration of E-STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics), indigenous knowledge and inquiry-based learning
  • Focus on sustainability, stewardship and social justice issues
  • Investigate how time in the natural world can assist with self-regulation
