ETFO eNewsletters

The ETFO Member News

In March 2019, The ETFO eNewsletter was transformed into a member-only publication known as The ETFO Member News. This means that members of the public can no longer subscribe to, and receive, this publication.

If you are an ETFO member and are not receiving The ETFO Member News, please make sure Member Records has your up-to-date, non-board email address on file. You can update your information in one of three ways:

  1. Send an email to
  2. Telephone ETFO at 416-962-3836 or 1-888-838-3836 and ask for extension 3806
  3. Complete the Update Member Information form on this website. NOTE: this form is SSL encrypted even though you will not see the lock symbol in your browser. This is because the encrypted (secure) form is embedded in a non-secure page, creating a 'mixed zone' where the lock symbol does not show up. If you are uncomfortable with filling out this form, please email or call your updated information into the ETFO office.

The ETFO Member News is published during the school year (September to June) and occasionally during the summer when there are emerging issues that ETFO members need to know about. By ensuring ETFO has your current non-board email address, you will get all the latest news from ETFO:

  • Announcements about new resources, pamphlets, and publications
  • Professional learning opportunities from ETFO and beyond
  • Updates on education and the political scene in Ontario
  • Social justice and advocacy issues in Ontario and beyond

Collective Bargaining eNewsletters

During rounds of Collective Bargaining, regular updates are sent to all ETFO member email addresses on file. If you are not receiving these emails, please follow one of the three ways outlined above to update your member information.

Stewards' Mailings

The ETFO Stewards' Mailing is an electronic version of the paper mailing that is sent to all ETFO work sites via Canada Post during the school year. This remains a subscription-based publication and you can sign up to receive it by filling out this Constant Contact form.

Unsubscribing from ETFO eNewsletters

While you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the 'SafeUnsubscribe' link located at the bottom of any ETFO eNewletter, you are strongly discouraged from doing so. As a union, ETFO has a statutory obligation to communicate with its members and in the modern age, mass emails sent to the addresses on file in the ETFO Member Records database has become our primary mode of communicating with members. Please don't miss out on important information about Collective Bargaining, your collective agreement, your benefits, and important political action events by unsubscribing.
