The closure will also adversely affect the neighbouring communities of Flemington Park and Thorncliffe Park.

Since 1969, the centre has played a crucial role in making science accessible and engaging, providing invaluable support to educators in enhancing the curriculum, inspiring students to explore and excel in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) fields, and creating enriching family experiences that promote a deeper understanding of the world around us.
